Road surface blowing and blowing machine

Release time: 2025-08-12 14:37:13

Road surface cleaning is a crucial task in highway maintenance, typically performed by specialized sweepers. Currently, most sweepers operate on a ‌vacuum-sweeping principle‌, equipped with an auxiliary engine and an induced-draft fan that creates negative pressure to suck up debris and dust, which is then filtered and collected in a dustbin. While effective for most conditions , these machines suffer from ‌slow operating speeds (2–5 km/h)‌, ‌high fuel consumption (80–100 L/h)‌, and ‌exorbitant maintenance costs‌—especially for air filters, which cost thousands to replace.

Around 2020, ‌purely mechanical sweepers‌ emerged as an alternative. By eliminating the auxiliary engine, fan, and filtration system, they reduced costs and energy use. However, their cleaning efficacy remained inferior to vacuum-sweeping models, and operating speeds saw limited improvement.

In 2018, ‌Yantai Equation Mechanical Technology Co., Ltd.‌ revolutionized the field with a ‌road blower‌ . Mounted on light trucks and powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine, this device uses belt-driven high-pressure fans to generate forceful airflow for debris removal. Key innovations include:

Water mist dust suppression‌ to minimize airborne particles.

Fully remote-controlled operation‌ via an industrial-grade wireless system, enabling drivers to manage engine start/stop, air duct positioning, and water spray without leaving the vehicle .

  The blower’s advantages are transformative:

Cost‌: Approximately 1/10 the price of traditional sweepers.

Efficiency‌: Operating speeds exceed ‌30 km/h‌ with fuel consumption as low as ‌8 L/100 km‌.

Portability‌: A 2021 upgrade introduced a ‌direct-mounted blower‌ (engine-to-fan), shedding transmission parts. This cut weight to ‌600 kg‌, allowing deployment on pickup trucks—enabling simultaneous road patrols and cleaning .

This innovation has redefined highway maintenance economics, offering high-speed, low-cost cleaning while integrating seamlessly with existing fleets [6]^.
